THE HISTORY OF ESTURIRAFI TOTE BAGS

In January 2020, we received the proposal from Upcyclick. They had rescued a batch of bags from a textile factory near Valencia, they had thousands of square bread bags in storage. The company was closing and there was a change of owner, so the end of these bags was uncertain, the landfill being one of the options ... Upcyclick rescued part of these bags and offered us the possibility of transforming them and turning them into great bags of reusable fabric to buy fruits and vegetables in bulk.

THE PREPARATION WAS CARRIED OUT IN THE WORKSHOPS OF MIL.UNA, A PROJECT OF ACCOMPANIMENT AND SOCIO-LABOR INSERTION FOR WOMEN AND FAMILIES IN A SITUATION OF SOCIAL VULNERABILITY THAT HAS BEEN WORKING IN SAGUNTO FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS.

Through workshops and training activities we seek to improve the quality of life of the participants and their families, bring them closer to employment, motivate them to formalized training, and improve their skills as educators and mothers. Creating support and family support spaces.

The leather label on each of the cloth bags comes from scraps left over from the leather cuts used in the manufacture of Madame Dynamite's shoes . To engrave the logo on the labels, the laser technique has been chosen, with a low ecological impact (no inks are used) and with a result that stands the test of time.

AS YOU CAN SEE, WE HAVE NOT LEFT ANY DETAIL TO CHANCE!

COVID-19 emerged in full production, which delayed everything. It has been a long wait, we have had to keep the Esturirafi reusable bags secret for many months ...
