Chronic pain is a type of body pain that is lasts longer than the usual recovery time. It lasts for more than three months which can further extend to years. There are two type of chronic pain: neuropathic pain and nociceptive pain.
Neuropathic pain is the pain that occurs due to nerve damage. Sources of this type of pain include diseases, arthritis, infections, surgery, accidents, Parkinson’s disease, facial nerve problems, regional pain syndrome, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
On the other hand, Nociceptive pain is the pain that occurs due to damage to body tissue. This type of pain occurs because of migraine, bladder pain, and endometriosis. It can also occur due to injury in the outer body, like joints, muscles, tendons, bones, or skins.
