Abstract

The objective of this exercise is to use buffers to design studies to accurately measure the kinetics of drug degradation and to use those studies to deduce the correct rate law. The main challenge is to select buffer and substrate concentrations and sampling times so as to generate data that is useful and accurate. The issues you need to consider are how do the choices of buffer, buffer concentration and initial substrate concentration affect the observed degradation kinetics.
