Abstract

These slides have been prepared by three graduate students with the objective of facilitating teaching NIR to students who are starting to do research in the field.

These slides are based on the use of NIR as a characterization method for solids. Thus they are focused on the basics and diffuse reflectance. They include very little chemometrics.

The objective is that any professor wanting to introduce students to NIR would have at least 75% of the material needed to prepare to teach the topic, and in this way we can hopefully improve education in Near Infrared Spectroscopy.
