7 Sweet and Savory CBD Oil Recipes to Help You Chill During Quarantine

 

Through these unsettling times, you may look for ways to destress. If you are a fan of CBD, these savory treats may just be the recipe for ultimate relaxation. CBD binds well with fats and oils, and it also hides the bitter taste. You can infuse CBD into all of your guilty pleasures!

  1. CBD-Infused Guacamole

This guacamole is zesty and with a little extra zing, a classic appetizer with a CBD twist.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ml CBD Oil

  • 3 ripe avocados

  • 2 small tomatoes

  • ½ jalapeno pepper

  • 1 Tbsp lime juice

  • ½ medium onion

  • ½ tsp kosher salt

  • ¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper

  • 1 large garlic clove

  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro leaves

  • ½ tsp ground cumin

Directions: 

  1. Pit and remove the skin from avocados and mash with a fork.

  2. Dice and remove seeds from tomatoes and jalapenos. Chop the onion and mince garlic. Remove cilantro from stems. 

  3. Combine all vegetables, lime juice, and add seasonings with avocados and mix well. 

  4. Top the guacamole with CBD oil and stir well. 

  5. Cover and let sit for two hours before serving. 

 

2. CBD Turmeric Ginger Bites 

Take these full-spectrum CBD gummies with apple cider vinegar shot to kick any pain, indigestion, inflammation to the curb. 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup of orange juice

  • 12 doses of CBD oil

  • ½ tsp cayenne Pepper

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 Tbsp turmeric

  • 2″ ginger root

  • 1 tsp agar agar powder

Directions:

  1. Slice the ginger root thinly and place all ingredients except CBD oil into a heated pan. Add in agar agar gently stir to avoid clumps. 

  2. Simmer for five minutes and turn off the heat. Take out ginger pieces from the pan and add in CBD oil. 

  3. Let sit for about five minutes, pour in mold or ice cube tray, and cool for at least 30 minutes before enjoying.

3. CBD Vegan Rice Crispy Treats

Unwind on a perfect summer day with these vegan CBD tincture and gluten-free treats.

Ingredients:

  • 3 3/4 cups crispy rice cereal 

  • 1/2 cup nut, seed, or coconut butter

  • 1/2 cup brown rice syrup

  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

  • 2 tsp CBD oil

Coconut Glaze:

  • 3 Tbsp coconut butter

  • 1 Tbsp maple or agave syrup

  • 1 to 2 Tbsp non-dairy milk 

 

  1. Melt and soften the butter with the syrup in the microwave or over low heat. Whisk thoroughly, remove from heat, and stir in CBD oil. 

  2. Combine rice cereal and coconut flakes with nut butter mixture. 

  3. Place mixture into an 8x8 parchment-lined pan and press down smoothly. 

  4. Set treats in the refrigerator for about fifteen minutes. 

  5. For the glaze, melt coconut butter and syrup in the microwave. Add non-dairy milk until you reach the right consistency. 

  6. Cut into squares, drizzle glaze, and serve. 

 

4. CBD Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

Transform this traditional treat into the new age by adding CBD.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 2 ml CBD oil 

  • ¾ cup of cane sugar

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 ¼ cups Gluten-Free all-purpose flour

  • 9 oz chocolate chips

Directions: 

  1. Turn the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Combine room temperature butter with CBD oil. Stir in sugar and brown sugar, vanilla extract and eggs, mix thoroughly. Mix in baking soda and salt. Now slowly stir in flour and mix all ingredients. 

  3. Stir in chocolate chips and set cookie dough in the fridge for about an hour. 

  4. Scoop dough and place on a baking sheet covered with parchment. You get 40 cookies if you roll small balls. 

  5. Bake cookies for 11 to 13 minutes or until brown. 

 

5. CBD Chocolate Stout Brownies 

Step up your culinary skills with a boozy spin on brownies with a little boost of CBD. 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup stout 

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • CBD oil 6 full droppers or vial 

  • 3 large eggs

  • 16 ounces of chocolate chips

  • 2¼ sticks unsalted butter

  • 1½ cups sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1½ teaspoons kosher salt

 

Directions: 

 

  1. Set the oven to 350 degrees, put aluminum foil in a 9x9 baking pan, and leave a couple of inches of foil for an overhang. 

  2. Boil the stout for 12 minutes or until you have about ½ cup. Set aside a ¼ cup for later. 

  3. Melt the 12 ounces of chocolate chips and 1 cup of butter in a bowl over boiling water. 

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla, slowly add in chocolate mixture, ¼” stout, and salt. Gently stir in the flour. 

  5. Add batter to the pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until top cracks and center is done. Set aside to cool for 20 minutes 

  6. Melt the remaining 4 ounces of chocolate, add ¼ cup of stout, rest of the butter, ¼” salt, CBD oil, and stir well. Pour mix over brownies and cool before serving. 

 

6. CBD Banana Nut Bread 

 

You cannot survive quarantine without a spin, banana bread, the most popular baked good of the lockdown.

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe-brown bananas 

  • 2 tbsp milk or almond Milk 

  • 5 ml CBD oil

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1⅛ cups sugar

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  • ½ cup of vegetable oil

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp vanilla

  • ¼ tsp salt

Directions: 

  1. Turn the oven to 325 degrees. 

  2. Combine sugar, oil, and egg. Stir in flour, baking powder, CBD oil, and beat until dough forms. 

  3. Add in milk, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas and blend well. 

  4. Pour mixture evenly into a greased loaf pan and top with walnuts. 

  5. Bake for 55 -65 minutes, checking periodically. Let cool before serving. 

7. Lavender Chai Latte with CBD

Take comfort on a cloudy day with this warming and soothing CBD chai latte. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plant-based milk 

  • 1 cup chai latte 

  • 2 tbsp dried lavender

  • 1 mg CBD oil

Directions: 

  1. Warm chai and milk together until it boils. Add culinary lavender and steep for 3 minutes. 

  2. Pour through the strainer into a teapot. Add CBD oil and stir well.

As you explore baking with CBD during the quarantine, please keep some things in mind. Start small, and as you perfect a recipe, add more CBD if necessary. Temperature matters as CBD start to lose its potency between 325 to 360 degrees. Lastly, make sure to mix the CBD well and evenly throughout, so every bite packs a punch!
